Dr. Bankole Allibay is the CEO and Social Performance Lead of Translantic Development Limited. With over 15 years’ experience, he specializes in the Social component of Environmental and Social Governance. Bankole possesses extensive knowledge and experience working with clients to meet lenders’ requirements and maintaining compliance with the local and national laws, as well as international best practices. At TDL, he oversees the end-to-end social impact life-cycle of projects and manages the activities of the organization’s diverse and multidisciplinary consultants in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ghana, Liberia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Zambia, and United Kingdom.
In the last five years, he has: led the Land Access and Resettlement Team for the West African Power Pool – Ghana – Burkina Faso 330kV line construction; worked as an STC staff of the World Bank Group, Ghana CMU as a Social Safeguard Specialist, Senior Land Access and Involuntary Resettlement Consultant on the Post Conflict Reconstruction of Mount Coffee Hydro-Power Project in Liberia, for the United States Government Millennium Challenge Corporation, Livelihoods Restoration Lead for the ENI Ghana ORF Facility, Resettlement Lead for the Kaduna State FRILIA Project in Nigeria, Resettlement and Livelihoods Lead for the Tamale Airport Expansion Project Phase II, Ghana, among many other projects.
Dr. Bankole advises and supports corporate organisations, the public sector and international development agencies on project social impact life-cycle from Baselines, ESIs, to development of implementation plans such as Resettlement Action Plan, Livelihoods Restoration Plan, Multiple Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Grievance Redress Framework and Conflict Resolution Strategies, Land Negotiations, Management Plans Implementation, Post Conflict Restructuring and Reconstruction Management and general Social Performance and safeguards monitoring.
Bankole holds a Doctorate Degree in Social Performance from Middlesex University in London. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in London, Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA, UK), International Association of Impact Assessment (IAIA) and Business Process Management Council in Canada.
He will be one of the Panelists on the session of Energy/Power-(Special Focus on Renewable Energy and Rural Electrification)
